iPad Apps to Help Veteran Caregivers

eWEEK reports that the VA is conducting a study to see whether iPads with apps designed to manage veteran care will help post-9/11 veteran caregivers. The goal is to provide family caregivers with better support, according to the VA director of Web and mobile solutions. Read more.

In this year’s News21 project, two dozen top student journalists from 12 universities are investigating the struggles and blinding bureaucracy confronting returning veterans after more than a decade of war in Afghanistan and Iraq.

Are they benefiting from the many promises of the federal government and Congress? Has their service to the country resulted in education assistance, job opportunities and critical medical and mental health care? Or will the remnants of war forever follow them as well as their families?
