Survey Reveals High Levels of PTSD Among Injured Post-9/11 Veterans

Army Times reports that a survey conducted by the Wounded Warrior Project revealed that more than 75 percent of injured post-9/11 veterans suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder. Read more.

In this year’s News21 project, two dozen top student journalists from 12 universities are investigating the struggles and blinding bureaucracy confronting returning veterans after more than a decade of war in Afghanistan and Iraq.

Are they benefiting from the many promises of the federal government and Congress? Has their service to the country resulted in education assistance, job opportunities and critical medical and mental health care? Or will the remnants of war forever follow them as well as their families?
