Government Slow to Respond to Epidemic of Sexual Assaults
At least one in five female veterans of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan has screened positive for military sexual trauma, and those are only the cases that are reported. Many victims are slow to seek care and are dissatisfied with the care they receive when they do come forward.
